What are avent "variable" teats and how do they work?? im currently on number 2 teats for my 2months old and?

avent variable teats have three different flows on the one teat.There are lines on the teat one stroke for the slowest flow two strokes for the next fastest flow and three strokes for the fastest, what ever flow you need to use you line the stroke up to the babys nose .they start from three month olds so your number two teat would probly equal to number one stroke.I used these and found them great as i didnt have to keep buying new teats as they get older, because they last for ages.

Its just a different flow. You work up as they get older. Just use the size the the baby is comfortable with.
