What are bacon rashers?

Can I substitute canadian bacon if I can't find it?

A rasher of bacon is just another way of saying a strip of bacon.  Canadian bacon will have more meat and less fat and could improve or disprove your recipe!

A rasher is a strip of bacon.

A rasher of bacon is one strip of bacon.  So, rashers of bacon would be multiple strips of bacon.  I dont think I would substitute canadian bacon for real bacon, but, I guess it would depend on the recipie.

A rasher of bacon is just a slice of bacon..llike what you'd have with bacon and eggs

It's just a slice of bacon, but it's called that in the UK.

The bacon Breaks out in itchy red blotches, similar to hives.. quite a nasty rash that one... I'm not familiar with the mounted Bacons & their rashes
