What are basic differences between racial and ethnocentric explanations of human difference?

Racial is a physical difference, while ethnocentrism is situational. Example: racial is black vs. white vs. asain, or male vs. female, etc. These are the physical characteristics that clearly define an individual to the outside world. Ethnocentric differences can be one socio-economic class thinking they are better than another one, or say harvard grads thinking they are better than any other college.
