What are bedding bales and pram bales?

Is it what you use to line the cots and prams? Or do you use them on the baby? Sorry if it seems daft but this is baby #1 for me and I'm confused.

Thanks for any help.

  1. A bale of hay is a big square stack of hay so a bedding bale is a neat stack of folded blankets either for the pram or the bed.

When you are becoming a new Mum, nothing is a stupid question.

  2. It's just they way shops sell blankets - as in a bedding 'set' -- a bedding bale may have 2 bottom sheets, two top sheets and a blanket, or some combination of it.  A pram bale would be the same but pram sized items instead of cot sized.   You can buy them in a bale or just buy what you need separately if the bale doesn't have what you want.  For what I wanted, it worked out much cheaper to buy everything individually.  Or, you may want to buy a bale and then another couple of blankets, etc.
