i am very thin will wushu will be beneficial for me to increase my strength of body.

can a wushu player can beat a karate man or a body builder?

in 3 years how much i will be learned?

will it build my body?

i never do GYM it is very boaring activity? does wushu will be beneficial for me?

  2. Being 'wiry' is a good thing.

    You don't need to be bulked up to do martial arts.

    The only reason professional ring fighters bulk themselves up is for show.  MMA and Pro Wrestling is theater, not reality.

  3. 1. It will increase strength enough to perform the required movements but if you really want to bulk up you need plenty of protein in your diet and it would be better to life weights. A lot of MMA fighters lift weights when they aren't training.

    2. Wushu doesn't put much emphasis on sparring, if you entered a full contact karate tournament after 3 years of Wushu you probably wont be used to taking hits. As far as the body builder goes, it really depends, if he gets in the first strike you're in trouble. But it should help you avoid strikes, either way just don't start fights with body builders.

    3. Depends how often you train and how well you take to it, you could be very profficient in 3 years time, but then again you could also be pretty much the same as you are now. I imagine you'd take to it better than someone who was overweight.

    4. Yes but not as much as lifting weights, if you really want to change your physique significantly you'll have to hit the gym.

    It will tone your body for sure but if its size your looking for, Wushu on its own wont be enough.

  5. 1 WUSHU will not increase your strength. A diet of raisins, sweet potato and chicken will build internal strength of the muscles WITH moderate weight training!

    2 An experienced WUSHU fighter i.e brown belt or black belt will have good chance against either a karate guy or bodybuilding guy of similar ability, all comes down to speed, timing and confidence of your learned technique.

    3 # years of WUSHU you will have learned 60 to 65 % of correct technique and katas.
