This is a huge emerging market-What are the key strategies carbon credit retailers are using and who is their target market? Please enlighten me more or divert me to other sources of information. I seek to gain more information on retailers and the strategies/business models used. Also how does the macroenvironmental business climate play a role in their success and continued sustainable competitive advantage?

  1. Carbon Credit is a big scam and any of you that support it are just too uneducated and shouldn' t have a voice.

In the 70's we increased pollution awareness in America and over the decades leading up to now, we have come up with stricter air and water quality standards, we have reduced pollution through technology and practices, we started recycling and reuse programs, littering was cracked down on with higher fines. This was the anti- pollution movement which had been implemented gradually over time to resolve the problems we had and it didn't hur anyone's bottom line, it didn't steal people money through fees and taxes, it didn't force policies on people and tell them how to live, or what products they could by.

Today this greem movement, although being a good idea, are nothing but a bunch of n**i johnny come lately's. They want change NOW, they want it doen THEIR WAY.

The carbon scam is all about trading carbon credits from an under user to an over used. The FLAW ? gee..first of all it doesn't reduce carbon, so if CO2 is such the bad culprit...(which i might add they still haven' proven) then why isn't there an initiative to reduce carbon footprints instead of trading credits ? WE didn't trade pollution credits back in the 70's...we eliminated pollution.

And who out there is arrogant enough to say they know what the acceptable level is ? The enviro-whacko's can't even prove co2 is bad, they can' t prove that man is even a significant contributor, meanwhile someone thinks they know enough to set some acceptable level ? And then act as a go-between to fine people over that level in the way of "trading" ? Where's your brain ? Where's the sanity ?

Meanwhile people like Al Gore and companies that do the trade act like the middle man, and get rich doing so based on no scientific data.

Maybe I should start a breath credit trading company... all you heavy breathers beware.

  2. They make you pay them for your guilt about what you have done to ruin this planet. Carbon credits is just a wickedly good scam. Like going to confession. You spill your guilt, get a few Hail Mary's and you feel better about yourself and the company gets your cash.

Catholic Church had this kind of thing going for getting marriages annulled even after years of marriage so you could continue to take the sacraments.

You have assuaged your guilt and given money. Go in peace.

  4. to bilk you out of as much of your money as they can, but make you feel good while they are at it.  I guess the cloest business model would be a strip club.
