  1. Most likely what you are speaking of are the charges the company bills you to use them as your carrier. for example long distance provider may bill you just to have them as your choice company.


  2. Carrier charges are long distance fees applied by the different competing telephone companies.  Since telecom deregulation there are now multiple choices for carriers of long distance.  Not all carriers cover the same geographical footprint.  Therefore you may use Sprint as a long distance carrier but are making a call to where Sprint does not have any infrastructure.  Sprint would then have to hand off the call to another provider e.g. AT&T to complete the call and therefore incur carrier charges.

  3. im not really sure what you mean by carrier charges? Sounds like it means exctly what it says....carrier charges are charges by the carrier
