  1. An organelle is a specialized subunit within a cell that has a specific function, and is separately enclosed within its own lipid membrane.

    Animal cell -

Within the cytoplasm, the major organelles include: (1) nucleolus (2) nucleus (3) ribosome ***** (4) vesicle (5) rough endoplasmic reticulum (6) Golgi apparatus (7) cytoskeleton***** (8) smooth endoplasmic reticulum (9) mitochondria (10) vacuole (11) cytosol***** (12) lysosome (13) centriole.

**** - ribosome, cytosol and cytoskeleton not membrane bound and therefore are not strictly speaking an organelle.

  2. Basically they are compartments that do different tasks.  In a eukaryotic cell these organelles will be membrane bound.  Some examples in eukaryotic cells are the golgi, endoplasmic reticulum,  rough ER, and nucleus.

  3. Actually organelles are different structures present inside a living cell. They help it to function properly. More detail in this link:

    Hope it helps!

  4. A component of a cell!
