  1. Go to a bar.

Talk to a bunch of whiskey drinks.

    Profit.

  2. Simple. Just go to a bar where they sell whiskey and perform primary data gathering. There's 2 ways: Observational Research or Survey Research .

In observational, you just have to sit at a discreet corner of a bar and observe people and their actions. Take note of the average age of the people who go there and drink whiskey. For example from 1 to 5pm, count the number of whiskey drinkers and estimate their age.

In Survey, if you're bold enough, you can try going up to them and ask them a few questions about their purchasing behaviour and buying preferences.

However, I strongly recommend you to apply the Observational Research because it's much more easier (and safer)

Imagine going up to a guy in a bar who just got dumped by his girlfriend because he just lost his job and while he's downing his sorrows into a shot of whiskey, you go up to him and ask, "Sir, I'm here to do a survey on demographic of whiskey drinkers. Firstly, are you working? If so, what do you work as? Second, are you in a relationship with anyone at this point of time?"

God knows what will happen next. You get what I mean (:

    Hope this helps! (:
