  1. The rate that in home child care providers charge varies, I believe, depending on where you live.  the going rate for older children here in Chicago is $125 weekly and $150 weekly--that is here on the south side.  The rate is about twice as much in each category (older and younger) on the near north side of Chicago--which is a much more affluent area.

  2. It's about $21 a day, unless your child is under two years old or still in diapers.  Then it would cost more... about $25-$35 dollars a day depending on the place.  Just remember to check out the place, since you are looking at in home daycare you need to be careful.  Make sure the daycare provider is licensed and check out the home to make sure its safe and healthy, and look into the background of the daycare provider as well as other people who may be living in her home.

  3. I'm assuming California is like NY. It's about $300/week for infants and toddlers and $250 for older kids. That's for full-time care. Go to naccrra.org for the name of your local child care resource and referral agency. They may have specific information for your area.

  4. It usually goes by Market rate, according to the state you live in, when the market rate goes up so doesn't the tuition for care. For an infant in Syracuse, New York its about $170.00 and a Toddler about $150.00 and Preschool is about the same as a toddler give or take 10 bucks.  Remember don't just put a child in a daycare based on the money factor, look at the quality of staff, cleanliness of the facility and ask lots of questions. Good Luck

  5. It all depends on your where you live and the quality of service you want. $15-30 bucks a day here in Arkansas.

  6. It seems to be alot more where you live. I live in SC and you pay around $125

  7. I live in Northern California.  I have had my kids in both home day care and child care facilities.  They are about the same.  Child care providers charge $20-$30 per day depending on age.  I pay $550/month for my preschooler and $200 for my school-ager.  (full-time, unfortunately!)
