What are colleges with good name recognition?

Question

I've been set on going to a small liberal arts college, but now as my senior year is getting closer, I'm thinking more about the benefit of going to a school with good name recognition.

What are some colleges you'd recommend for me? I live on the west coast, and was mostly set on going to California. I'll be graduating with honors, a 3.7 GPA, and possibly above a 2000 on my SAT.

Any advice?

Going to Cal?  That's a big-name school.

Depends on what vocation you plan to enter, and how much a big-name school will help you in your career.   Sometimes, a snob school helps, sometimes it doesn't.
