..tested on animals? I mean like food or candy or soda. Yes, I say soda. I know mars is, but I looked on peta and peta2 and that's one of the only food brands on there.

  1. First, with regards to soda, avoid all products containing aspartame, which is tested on animals, and the major brands like Coke and Pepsi.  Natural sodas can be found at Whole Foods and most large grocery stores.  Brands include Jones Soda Company, Hansen's and Blue Sky.

For candies, you want to avoid anything made by Nestle and Mars.  Generally it's safer if you stick with the more expensive candies from smaller companies.

When shopping for food, you just have to take a list of companies that test with you, and read labels to avoid them.  (For instance, Pringles are made by Proctor and Gamble.)  It's much harder when shopping for household cleaners and personal care products than food.

You could also avoid animal testing by shopping at Whole Foods Market, as they do not carry any products that are tested on animals.  The easiest solution by far, however, is to avoid processed, packaged foods.  Keep it simple, buy whole foods and cook.
