A "cookie cutter" home is simply a predesigned home or prefabricated home.  These homes are found in groups and this is why they are called cookie cutter homes.  It's because you'll see a tract of housing where all the houses look alike.  Generally, they're less expensive than houses in diverse neighborhoods because they were contracted in bulk and the owner got a discount.


  2. Cookie cutter is a "putdown" term for houses that all look alike.  It's mean and it's untrue.  Each owner makes her home perfect on the inside.  It is home. and it's yours.
