  1. i agree with gaurav, they don't help pages load faster and do not track information like temporary internet files.  they track ID/login information.

    Cookies = ID information or login information to webisites

    Temporary Internet Files= Pages loading faster for frequently visited webpages

  3. theyre small files with bits of information websites store on your computer for quicker access and recognition for future site visits. Such as ones email sites put on your computer so you dont have to sign in each time unless you've signed out. Yes there are such things as tracking cookies and others that can slow down your computer and do things you don't want them to do. If you know the sites that are putting these on your computer you can configure settings to not accept cookies from those websites and such

  4. Cookies r the small files containing some informations to communicate with the sites . Suppose if u use 'remember me on this computer' on any site, this cookie is the thing which remembers ur id n password
