Crop circles are big symbols (or circles) in crop fields (like in wheat fields).... supposably they are made by aliens but they don't have to be.

supposedly some are made by aliens from outer space.  we don't know if its a coded message or the shape of their space craft.

But most are made by bored geeky college kids creating their own crop shapes on weekends.

Crops circles are big patterns (not always circles) made by flattening parts of corn, grain, wheat, barley fields (as well as other crops). Crop circles started to gain widespread fame when they started to appear in great number in the UK in the 1970's. Even though the phenomenon spread through the English speaking and other parts of the world, the UK still has some of the best and most intricate crop circles today. It's no coincidence that the UK has some of the best known circle making clubs in the world: John Lundberg and the Circlemakers.org spring to mind.

Some enthusiasts claim the circles are the work of higher powers; aliens or other supernatural forces. All the circles whose creators are known were made by human beings however and none of the other circles exhibit any features that would suggest they are the work of non-human hands.

They are thought to be made by aliens but many persons are alive who showed the media that they can make a crop circle within a night.

Farmers are fed up of these persons as they cause a serious damage to the crops.

There has been no evidence whatsoever as to what causes these crop circles really. Some say these could be formed as a result of unidentified spacecrafts hovering over a particular area...well dats all i know...;)
