What are cuticles? I know there are a part of your fingernail but what part?

They're that part at the bottom. It's where your fingernail meets your finger. Like...take your thumb nail and put it near the tip of another finger nail. Run it down that other finger's nail until it stops. The skin that you meet is the cuticle.
