What are deck pads used for? and how are they used?

Pretty much as the above but what it also does is let you know where your feet are by feel and not by looking down which is good cos you need to look where you are going instead of waisting time checking if you have your feet in the right place.

a deck pad does for your front foot what a stomp pad does for your backfoot.  it gives you added traction at the expense of weight.  a lot of air guys use them because they need that extra traction and their feet are always in about the same place anyway.

They are for relaxation and you lay on them. DUH!!!

Deckpads are an alternative to wax. They are much better than wax because they form to your feet by adding an arch in the center and they also offer more grip over wax. The kickpad in the back is used to launch airs and so you foot doesn't slip off the back when doing tricks such as airs or tailslides. They are especially usefull in cold water when you feet tend to get numb and slippery. I guarentee that your surfing will improve by using a deckpad.
