What are diffrent games of pool besides 8 and 9 ball? how do you play them?

One of my favorites is cutthroat, played with three players.  Each player gets five balls and the last one with balls left on the table wins.  You try to sink the other players.  Another is pill or kelly pool, where you write all the numbers down on paper and draw at random.  Only you know what balls you have, and the last one with balls on the table wins. [Edit] This has unlimited players, up to 15 I guess.

Killer is a game where people take turns taking shots on an open rack. You start out with a certain amount of lives (usually 3 or 5 in my experiences) and during your turn, you have to make a t least one ball in or you lose a life. Last person in wins. Great game to play when alot of people are playing. Also, cutthroat is a good multiplayer game.

Looks  like B.J has shot alot of pool .like he said there are lots of pool games to it is best to specialize on a few ,, I love to play one pocket  that game encompasses lots of skill  ,deep cuts . bank shots , long and short rail, and plenty of position on every shot, and it is a very long game..

my favorite for practice on the 8ball is 3 or better.  the same as last pocket except on the 8 u have to bank the 8 in or the white ball must go 3 or better rails to knock the 8 in ,  in case u get the 8ball stuck in  a pocket in the beginning of a game like it usually does  in last pocket.
