eg. Chocolate, onions... certain plants, cow milk..

Are there any big no no's?

You must never feed your dog human chocolate. It contains an ingredient that a dog's stomach can't break down and digest this could make your dog ill or if fed in huge amounts kill it.

Raw carrots and Grapes are ok in small amounts every now and again, you should teach your dog some commands and tricks to work for it. (Sit, paw, down)

Some people give their dog the dinner/tea left overs. Stick to dog food and dog treats. This is to prevent:

1. Dog obesity

2. Smelly Breath

3. Bad behavior and pestering when you have food.

4. Greedy ness and general health probs.

They design dog food/treats for a reason, so for your dogs sake use them. Human food and t*t- bits don't contain:

1. The nutrition a dog needs

2. Fat Or protein.

Some foods are especially designed for sensitive stomachs, and to help keep teeth looking their best. Also the fur clean and shiny.

Grass,and  fleas,come to mind,  giving small amounts of liquid  benedryl helps relieve their itching, works for humans too.... depending on the size of the  dog,of course......our mini doxie   is about  10# so   about  1/4 of a  tsp  every 6 hrs helps a lot..........

Hi

I know my dog (cocker spaniel) is allergic to bee stings as his face swells up and makes him ill. Chocolate is poison to dogs especially dark chocolate. My little dog was sent to vet hospital for 2 weeks because she ate some kind of plant, it caused bleeding and swelling of both eyes, gave her extreme headaches and very ill. Types of mushrooms in the wild are also poisonous so keep them from eating them. These are teh only ones i know of from my past experience.

Dogs can be allergic to almost anything as humans can.

When you say Chocolate,onions and the others I think you mean  foods that are toxic.
