What are easy songs to learn in the guitar?

i am a beginner...

:) i need to know how to play the easy songs then learn the difficult ones... i need to learn songs like yankee doodle...

can u help?

I wouldn't necessarily recommend learning songs like "Yankee Doodle" unless it's a song you really want to learn.  

Personally, I would recommend thinking about what songs/artists you like first.  Once you have a list of songs/artists, you can always go to your local Guitar Center or other shop and look for tablature books by those artists.  If you can not find them there, you can always check on-line as well.  

Many tablature books will have varying levels of difficulty-beginner, intermediate, and advanced- which will allow you to pick which tab books fit your playing level.  

Also, you may check into sites such as ultimate-guitar.com which offers an abundance of free tablatures-for educational purposes, of course- by a wide variety of artists.
