What are effective ways to teach 10th graders about Jim Crowism?

I'm frontloading for Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird," so I would like to specifically focus on Jim Crow laws during the Great Depression. Any lesson plans, activities or suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. I've never taught Jim Crow Laws, but I think that actually implementing some of the laws into your classroom somehow would be an awesome way for them to get a first--well, really second-hand look at Jim Crow Laws and how unfair they were.
