    Electric

  3. Semi acoustic.

it looks like an acoustic guitar and you can play it as such, but the sound my not be very loud if playing in a venue with no mic, however being semi acoustic it also has an electric pic up wich means you plug it into an amp and you can pay it loud with all the variations an amp can bring like reverb ect,

  4. Surely you've seen or heard guitars being played? It's the most widespread and popular instrument!

Guitars are plucked stringed instruments. In an acoustic guitar, sound is produced by the resonance of a vibrating string on a hollow body made of wood. In an electric guitar, the string's vibration is picked up by electro-magnetic pick-ups. The resulting signal is then amplified (and sometimes distorted) to produce the audible sound.

  5. Under "alternative fuel vehicles"?????

Basically, an acoustic guitar makes sound without having to be plugged in. It makes the sound by using the hollow inside of the guitar.

An electric guitar has to be plugged in and connected to an amplifier and speakers. It is not hollow.
