  2. Electronics is a discipline, electric current is a physical characteristic.

As a discipline, one studies and, hopfully, gets a degree in electronics.  Typically electronics covers low electrical current circuits, like found in radio, TV, integrated circuits, computers, and such.  By comparison, electrical engineering typically looks at high electrical current circuits, like found in motors, generators, buidings, houses, and such.  But, the disciplines will and do overlap; so it's not unusual for a EE grad to be delving into TV and an electronics grad to be looking at generators for example.

Electrical current is just that thing that results when I = E/R is true.  I is the current usually in amps, E is the voltage in volts, and R is the resistance in ohms.  Electronic and electrical circuits, both, will have electrical current as I = E/R or some variant applies to both types of circuits.
