  1. Mashed potatoes, maybe humus, plain rice, plain noodles

  2. i think the one food that taste bland is Spam

  3. plain yogurt

    cottage cheese

  4. Tofu

  5. Bland food is food that has not been seasoned. The best beef steak in the world, without salt, is bland. That goes for many foods.

  6. why?

    american tomato and mashed potatoes

  7. Tapioca pudding and plain mashed potatoes. YUCK!!

  8. Some fish

    chicken b*****s

Many other foods have their own flavour, but all it takes is a little seasoning to make them wonderful.

Chicken and fish are 2 examples.

  9. avocado, yucca, unsalted pasta, unsalted rice, unsalted potatoe etc..

  10. I actually think that the things people have been mentioning here as tasting bland aren't really bland at all. It just depends on what you're used to. If you commonly add lots of spice or salt or flavourings to your food, then if you eat something without such flavourings then it tastes bland in comparison to what you're used to. But a few years ago there was a week where I had plain rice with nothing on it for lunch and supper every day. By the end of the week I was actually finding plain rice pretty tasty! The thing people don't think of is that these so-called 'bland' foods actually just have a more mild and delicate flavour than most foods.

  11. tofu, rice, plain rice cake, plain oatmeal

  12. Most dishes eaten in places with a year-round cold & damp climate are pretty bland...whale blubber, seal, and most "ice fish" (like codling) are all but tasteless.  The hotter the climate, typically, the "tastier" or spicier the basic diet.

  13. Carbohydrates are usually described as bland food. My top bland food would be jacobs cream crackers, also plain pasta or plain rice that has not been salted. Bland food is food that doesnt really have any kind of taste to it. Other examples i would include are porridge, polenta and couscous, again theses things need to be cooked with absolutely no additives in order to make the bland grade. When cooking with these foods most people usually add herbs, spices, stock and other types of seasoning so that the bland foods take on the flavour of the other ingredients. I think it would be difficult to make a bland meal as a meal usually comprises of several different flavours and componants. The only think i can think of is something like fish, potatoes and cabbage or cauliflower, all with no seasoning......

  14. Poi. It's a hawaiian staple that has absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It comes from the taro root and ground like a mashed potatoe and eaten with roast pork and other dishes with flavor. I don't like it and I'm hawaiian.
