  1. My guess is any characteristic caused by an environmental factor. So, when your skin reddens due to sunburn, that may qualify.  You are not genetically red, an over-exposure to sunlight caused it.  But then again, it could be argued that a reddening of the skin due to burn is a response (increased blood supply to help heal) and that response is genetically driven....WOW! Tough question!


  2. Length of hair.  Length of fingernails.

There aren't really non-genetic characteristics.  All traits are the result of a combination of genetic and environmental influences.  Some traits, like how many eyes you have, are almost entirely genetically determined, while others, like body size, have a bigger environmental component.  Even personality traits have some genetic component.
