  1. Insect world is the most misunderstood and the most undervalued of all the animals.

    We are still understanding & learning from them. Everyday a new species of insect is discovered.

    Flies are yet to be fully understood. Scientists are still discovering new facts about them and they are all ready using their maggots for treating incurable wounds.

    So in the environment there might be more that they do apart from being a nuisance and a health hazard.

    The most common beneficial things that they do are -

    Food for other animals not just other insects but birds and small mammals as well.

    Help in pollination.

    They help in keeping the environment clean by using the dead flesh as a food and a breeding ground.


  2. Annoying yes, but the guy with the first answer is absolutely correct.  Flies produce maggots, who in turn consume biological waste, e.g. dead things.  Think about how ucky it would be to have dead things everywhere.

  3. i heard the flies are good for producing maggots and i saw on health discovery they used maggot on the patients who have open wound that never heals they put the maggot on the old wound to help to heal up the wound. I had the wound on my toe that never heal i went doctor for it have the maggots on the wound it heal completely. that what flies can be a pest to annoy you but it can help for our society too. without the flies and maggot then our wound endup bigger wound
