What are for you the advantages and disadvantages of travelling in groups?

I have done both, meaning I have travelled alone and in groups, so I can speak from experience .

For me, the advantages of travelling in groups far outweigh the disadvantages .

For instance,

1) It's definitely safer

2) you won't get lonely

3) you can meet some amazing people if you're travelling with a tour group

4) If you are unlucky enough to get into some trouble there will be someone there to help

5) you won't starve ( if you run out of money, lol )

Disadvantages : For me there are none, I didn't really enjoy travelling alone !

I like traveling in groups honestly. It's safer and you get to meet alot of new people... If you don't like them, when you have free time, go off on your own! I personally also use EF College Break when traveling abroad. (That's if I'm not backpacking).. My experiences have been absolutely amazing, and the age group is only from 18-26 which means there won't be any older creepy people on the tours, haha.. They also guarantee to be the cheapest touring company!.. And the code Tech2009 now will save you money on tours with them..

- being with people for that length of time, they might start to annoy you

Advantages - safer, possible group discounts.

Disadvantages - they people who you are travelling with could drive you nuts!

advantages: Being safer, much more fun with more people, more people to talk to, and the conversation wont fizzle out as much as if there were just two people

Disadvantages: might get annoyed with someone in the group, and either you, or they could storm off, More people may cause arguments for what you want to do, or where you want to go, The whole gang could turn against you, and you may be left on your own. someone could accuse you of avoiding them, because you're talking to the other people, or they could leave you out.

dis- punctuality...fights....annoyin..illness
