  1. Beveren, Chinchilla, Havana, Thrianta

  2. I would be shocked if there were Chinchilla rabbits in the Caribbean.

There are three types of Chinchilla rabbits.

    The Standard Chinchilla

    The American Chinchilla

    The Giant Chinchilla

The American Chinchilla was developed in the U.S.A.  There are less than 200 of them registered.  They are in serrious danger of going extinct.

The Giant Chinchilla is also a U.S. breed.  There numbers are also very low, with fewer than 2500 of them registered.

The Standard Chinchilla is a very old breed, from France.    They are not terribly good at producing meat...about the only reason people in the Caribbean raise rabbits.  I rather doubt they are raising them either.

  3. I researched this question carefully because there seems to be some controversy in the answers that you received.  It is not an easy question to find a good answer to.  There is no single site that I can refer you to, so I'll give you a quick summery of what I found.  They raise three "wool" type rabbits for their skins  (and probably the meat as well)  the Dutch, Orange Rex, and the fine haired Angora. Meat rabbits are probably the most popular breeds grown.  The Flemish Giant, New Zealand White, and California White are the top three and they did mention the chinchilla rabbit, (not the Giant chinchilla or American, or Standard, just the chinchilla) as a lesser grown meat rabbit.  I'm going to guess that this chinchilla is from the standard chinchilla from France and probably a cross with some local rabbit, but that is just my guess.  I found another site that said that there were many different "fancy" breeds of rabbits raised in the Caribbean for shows and exhibits as well as kept as pets.  So I think you could pick about any four breeds and get a correct answer to your question, but some breeds listed would be a better answer.  Good luck.
