My daughter is 4 and I would like to have some fun craft type things that she can do. She finger paints, paints with brushes, and colors, but I can't think of any other types of activities for her to do. She loves to keep busy and learn new things.

  1. I have three kids including a 4 year old girl. We like making cards to send to her friends. We make play-doh sometimes. I let them help make it and then they get to play with it too (there is even a recipe for edible play-doh made with peanut butter). You can make collages out of old magazines. Make paper dolls and use wrapping paper to make their outfits. There are so many fun things to do at her age. We get most of our ideas from www.familyfun.com .

  2. You could buy some self drying model material.  You can sculpt whatever you please without having to bake it.  It may take a day to dry, but afterward you could paint it.

  3. you and your daughter should each make  stepping stones and take pictures while doing so. you both will have lasting memories and photo's of your wonderful day spent together.  when you are done, enjoy sone lemonade and cookies.

  4. you can google preschool crafts and get some great sites. try

http://crafts.kaboose.com/ i think they are the best. have fun.

  5. Both of the above ideas are really good, you also might want to try making collage, another cool thing is to make potato stamps (I'll explain later) or paper hats or really really easy origami. You might want to teach her how to plant a flower or something like that, although that isn't very crafty.

    Potato stamps:

    you need:

    1 or 2 potatoes

    paint or ink

    paper

    scissors

    a pencil

    a knife

    tape

    What to do:

cut your potatoes down the middle, width-wise.

have your daughter draw a small picture, small enough to fit in the cut end of the potato.

    cut out the drawing.

tape the drawing to the end of the potato, where you cut it.

carve potato using the knife so it looks like the drawing.

dip the carved potato into ink/paint, dab off the excess paint/ink, then stamp it onto your paper.

have your daughter draw in the picture or just leave it with the stamp.

    hope this helps!
