  3. Go to Imax

Hike Mt. Tolmie (short hike) -- great views of the area

Go to Beacon Hill Park -- see the animals and eat the soft ice cream there (it's fabulous)

Go to the Roger's Chocolates factory

Go to the inner harbour -- in the summer this is a hub of activity with local artists

Go on a tour of the post-secondary institutions, such as UVIC and Camosun College.  You can see the bunnies at UVIC!

Dip your feet in the Pacific Ocean

Ride the bus (the double-decker bus is great)

Go to the Centre of the Universe and look through a BIG telescope!

Corn maze (it has very strange dates of operation)

    Window shopping downtown

Go inside the Empress (maybe for tea)

    Ride a trolley car

    Ride a horse and carriage

Walk/bike the Galloping Goose Trail (fairly easy walk)

Go to Rivet's Bog in Broadmead area -- it's on Chatteron Way -- you can see beautiful songbirds, cranes; it's lovely and peacful and doesn't feel like the city

Visit a glassblowing studio and see a live demonstration

    Go to a concert

    Go to a sporting event

Go to Eaton Centre and Mayfair Centre (Baskin Robin's at Mayfair)

If you're not from Canada, seek out some Canadian food -- macaroni and cheese, poutine, maple syrup, honey, jam

There's a Macaroni Grill near Mayfair Mall (sorry I do not know the street address)

Poutine is available at many A&W restaurants

Maple syrup will be available at many supermarkets/grocery stores MUCH cheaper than at tourist traps!

    Enjoy your trip!

  4. Lots.

Anything from outdoor activities (hiking, tubing, kayaking, etc) to the urban kind of thing (shopping, museums, movies, festivals, art)

    What are your particular interests?

  5. Madam Tussads Wax Museum.  Pretty creepy torture gallery.

Go whale watching... lots of orcas there.

Go shopping, lots of little shops around the inner harbour

The Museum there is pretty good if into native artifacts

    Have fun.
