What are fun things to do with a parakeet ?

how can i play with it? He just got comfortable with me...so now i want to have some fun with him

i have had parakeets for years. my first one was the best. he learned most most of the stuff he did on his own. we used to have drink costers sitting on a coffee table and he would go right up to it and lift them out of the little device that held them. and i had the little trinket toys from fast food places that were his toys when he played outside of his cage. one of my parakeets now, he has tons of personality. he thinks he rules the room of my five. he is best friends with my blue crown. it's very odd but he loves to go in my other birds cages and hang out with them and eat what ever food they haven't. so just give it some time. you can't really rush things with birds. they have to have a lot of trust in you. mine trust me a lot but no matter what they will back away of whatever scares them. i've had my blue crown for seven years and he is a wonderful bird but also the biggest baby. he can be very playful but then see his shadow on the wall and freak out. you just have to understand what their limits are.

if he has his wings clipped you can take him outside and you try to teach him cool tricks.

you can explore your house with him, share healthy foods with him, teach him tricks like waving and saying hello, you can guive him baths or showers, get a flight jacket and take him outside, or just hang out.
