What are gauges?

I was talking to some guy and he was talking about how big his gauges were. What did he mean by his gauges?

the little clock looking things in the dash of your car.

They measure Speed, Revolutions per minute(RPM),Fuel, Water temperature, etc.

Most new cars are digital so you only see numbers or special characters like the water temp. you will see a little termometer.

Your fuel GAUGE tells you how much fuel you have

Your rpm GAUGE tells you how fas is your engine.

Your speedo tells you your speed.

All those things are gauges.

I think he was pulling your leg.  I think he was talking about how BIG his thing was (laughing under his breath).
