  1. it just means they are made by a different company to the original license holder they are licenced by the holding company for manufacture to their exact fomula and therefore will be exactly the same as the original.


  2. technically/chemically speaking they are the same drug but purity is sometimes lost when "generics" start making things.

    Look at tylenol for examplethe generic name in acetomenophen it basically does the same thing but remember the recalls for chinese made tylenol that had metal particals in it. Yeah cost can be skimped on by anyone but more often than not it the generics. The original drug has a patent on it not allowing others to make it until the patent expires so they can make their money back for the drug research and scientists. Oh and viagra's generic name since is isn't patented anymore is sildenafil. Rovatio is basically the same chemically too.

  3. sidenafil. there are other brand names as well. generic name and trade names all these constitute the same thing. so dont be confused. its the same drug

  4. no - viagra is merely one branded name of the generic, it's all the same!
