  1. heat, i live in canada and winters getting warm, but the not the latest one

  2. It seems that the sun rays penetrate the atmosphere and are not able to leave, due to the gas layer (pollution). So it causes a rise in thermometers down here. However, I've heard somewhere that it is all make-believe, and humans are not really responsible for that, because there was a similar rise in the planet's temperature in the Middle Ages.

  3. Basically, the earth is surrounded by a bubble. That bubble lets out some gases, but not others. Carbon is one of those gases, right? Since those gases including carbon get stuck bouncing between the earth and its protective bubble, the sun shines on it and heats it all up. That is simply what the greenhouse effect is.

What it does is it heats the earth up. In the past hundreds and thousands of years ago, there weren't so many people in the world as there are today to produce those kinds of gases that get stuck bouncing around. If you think about it, more people means more carbon is being produced and not let out. Plants can't simply take care of it and convert the carbon dioxide we exhale into oxygen because we've cut down too many. They don't grow back very fast. as you well know.

Also, all of the factories, cars, buildings with air conditioners and furnaces and other machinery, they all are putting out more crud into the air.

This all heats up, thereby heating up the earth. This means that there is a huge temperature change. Plants and animals can evolve and change to adapt to environmental changes, but that takes thousands of years. All of the pollution that has mainly affected this planet has been created within the last hundred or maybe two hundred years. Not enough time to adapt.

    So the result:

Melting polar ice caps. Rise in sea levels. Demolition of anything near the sea as it rises. Plants and animals alike die because of the change in their climates. People die because of the changes and what they may cause (more water in some areas may displace the animals from there into other areas where they don't belong...like mosquitos could move into drier climates and thereby spreading so many fatal diseases. Rats and snakes too). In the end, try your best to not by the jerk tossing his c**p in the streets. Recycle a little (maybe the newspaper, or the plastic bottles. Whatever). Just do something small to contribute to helping the earth. Otherwise, go on and waste everything you own: the people that are going to suffer are the generations of tomorrow.....some of them might be your children.

Here are the affects in the area I live:

Summer nights usually are sweltering (normally the mid seventies), and swarming with roaches and termites. Nowadays, they've gotten chilly....like down into the sixties. There are far more storms, and strange weather patterns. Its not good.

  4. Increased vegetation around the world.

  5. Global warming is caused by evil leprechauns. Believe it or not, when we pass gas, we also emit leprechauns that are propelled high into the air and in turn pass gas which reacts with the ozone in the atmosphere to produce massive invisible heat rays. This is global warming.
