I'm going to be a Junior in a Performing arts Academy. And I was wondering what Colleges I should look up. I want to pursue performing arts and film too, but I also like science and math. I need to look for a college I can afford, hopefully I'll be able to find a way to pay. I'm also very active in the school and outside of the school, not to mention I'm practically a A average student, so if you know of any scholarships that I could apply for, please tell me. I live in NJ, and basically I need a well rounded/known college that also is in a nice area were I don't have to worry about gangs or stuff. So what ones would you recommend?

Hope you respond and thanks for reading!

  1. do you go to Bergen County Academies?

  2. You should probably go to a college that is not a conservatory, but a normal 4-year college with a strong music program, where you can take classes (math and science) while still majoring in music or film.

I would suggest, then, Northwestern (also a good film program), Columbia (they have a connection with Julliard, the best music school in the country), Carnegie Mellon, U Cincinnatti, NYU, USC, U Michigan Ann Arbor, Oberlin, and Boston U.
