What are good HDMI cables that are reasonable?

I want to understand more about HDMI cables and make sure I don't spend too little or too much. What is the advantage of gold cables? What is a good online store to buy the cables?

i have checked out all the types of hdmi cables there is now difference even though monster cable is the one i go with most of the time. but you dont notice the difference so a 6 ft cable around $40 is a good price.
