  2. good for you! I'm most impressed with you because the tone of this post isn't conceited or braggy at all! congratulations, one of the most admirable things I find in aspiring actors is his/her humbleness and want to improve.  i'm really happy that you are truly looking to learn the trade, as opposed to showing up somewhere to try and showoff your talent.

i live in new england, so i don't know many good acting camps down south. but i do know that for beginning actors such as yourself, Stage Door in NY would be a good place to begin. Many famous actors have come and gone through SM.  If you're not brand new, then I wouldn't recommend this place because it mostly caters to the less-than-experienced.   other than that, there might be some acting classes at a local theatre or college (community college classes are the best!). the best way to learn the skill of acting is to watch other actors closely and listen to a director's critique. that way, you are able to discern between good acting and bad acting. unfortunately, most high schoolers think they are wonderful, but are really terrible. so just listen to crtique, have a thick skin and always be willing to improve/accept advice! good luck to you!!
