What are good beginner guitar strings?

Use .009 or .010, light gauge . If your guitar is an electric, use Ernie balls. They are not expensive and have a good tone.

For an acoustic, D'addario are not bad. I would use Martin bronze light gauge.

I use boomers for my electric.  Cheap.. sound bright... and easy to play with...
