Well I have an audition in a few weeks. nothing big, its high school musical. they only give big parts to the older age groups, so I wanna try my best cuz I'm one of the oldest.

I need one audition song, i think i'm saprano, but i might be acapella.

I DO NOT want anything from wicked, anything old (south pacific, gypsy, sound of music) probably stuff from the last 20 years!

only a girl singing, and stuff like that.

Thanks loads, and i will pick a best answer!

  1. Given that HSM is a Disney creation, I'd be looking at a song from another Disney musical: Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins.  My suggestion would be "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas or "Reflection" from Mulan.

  2. Firstly we need to clear some things up. You think you are a SOPRANO. So you can sing pretty high then? Check out some of the solos from Phantom of the Opera (my fave). Also you mentioned you though you might be "acapella". The word (correctly spelled) is A Capella and that term refers to singing without any instruments behind you. If does not refer to a singing range. I am not trying to dog on you, only trying to teach you the proper terms, so someone doesnt pick on you later.
