  1. fordham and nyu

  2. NYU and Columbia are the obvious New York City universities.

Eugene Lang/The New School, Barnard, Fordham, Marymount Manhattan, CUNY-Hunter, CUNY-Brooklyn, CUNY-Queens, Pace, and St. John's are all in the city.

Sarah Lawrence and Hofstra are just outside the city.

Marist, Vassar, Adelphi, Bard, Manhattanville, another Pace campus, Dominican College, and SUNY-Stony Brook are all relatively near the city.

If you're willing to go to NJ, Ramapo College of NJ, Fairleigh Dickinson, The College of NJ, and Rutgers (New Brunswick) are also quite close.
