What are good colleges with cheaper housing? ?

I'm planning on going to college in California at Long Beach State. And am wondering what are the cheaper places to live in California where i can still go to a bigger college similar to long beach state.

You can check any of the Cal State schools.  The cheaper housing will usually be outside the big cities.

The cheapest place in California is San Diego.

But you can find a pretty cheap place anywhere--*as long as you have a roommate.* (or more than one roomie). If you split up the cost of the rent, it will be quite cheap. You can find roommates on craigslist (sounds sketchy, I know, but my friend had a very good experience with it.) Also, sometimes if you choose to live off campus, the college will give you the money you would pay for room and board back.

Check into sharing a house/apartment with others. Roomates is the cheapest way to go.
