Question:

What are good degrees to pair with psychology?

I'm most of the way done with an associates degree in psychology and would like to get a bachelors degree in something else before I get a doctorate so I can do something beforehand. It wouldn't take too long to get a bachelors degree in something else as I can transfer my classes to that degree.

  1. One suggestion is economics.  In order to work effectively within the free market system, an understanding of the psychological aspects of implementing economic policies, understanding market trends and motivating individuals and groups in the financial arena are essential.

A deep knowledge of psychological principles can help in all of these areas.

  2. I would say go with what internally draws you. Taking a degree in a subject that does not interest you might be tourturesome.

I have taken a degree in Psych and I could have combined it with Art (my other interest).

But getting a degree in Business is another option if u r interested. It would be useful when you start working in companies/orgazations. Business skills/knowledge/techniques are highly valued.

My personal opinion ofcourse. Ultimately go with what feels right to u.

    One size doesn't fit all....
