What are good gifts for a very mature soon to be 11 year old?

Halo Board Game

Clue Board Game

A Kite

I would like to get a water rocket but dont know where to get one. I also do not have time to order it as the birthday is in 2 days.

OK, i don't get parents today, and I'm not saying this because I'm a kid. video games are not at all bad for kids. it is very easy to control what games you buy. if you steer away from video games then why would you buy him a halo board game.  studies show that video games can give kids great hand eye coordination, thinking skills, solving skills, and competition. yes video games may drive kids to obsess until they beat it but i notice that parents can always set boundaries. you could tell your son that he has to get his chores done before he plays. that would give you a disciplined son. when ever my parents let me play it was only on their terms. and hey its great bonding when parents play too. and not all games are just action Jackson kill bill. some of my favorite games are sole strategy. another thing is that your kid may relate to other kids more and make friends. my best friend that ive had in elementary all the way up until now, high school, we get along because we play games.

but on the subject of other things to buy him, if you havent already done this, set up a life savings, my dad did that for me around that age. or buy him some books, go to barnes and noble to the teen section and pick out a great looking book, he may not apreciate it at the time but if its a good book than he will like it to read at night. post a update telling me what kind of things he likes and i will post back :)

if he aboy try modles like  planes   look for a local craft shop that deals in  modles   they have alot of fun one with rockets that work and plane that also  flie .

Seriously, a kite? That's not one of the best options you can get, girl. I really think that you shouldthink what you wanted as a teen. I really wanted those  Hot Wheels collection id I was a boy..
