I am having a family party and I want to have an affordable, patriotic cook-out.....Just one problem, I don't have a grill. And I can't afford one. Already, I have an idea to a party store and a pig-roast, burgers and hot-dogs.But thats it.

  1. burgers  chips   pickle

  2. Well if you don't have a grill you have a few options.

    - boil/nuke the hot dogs

    - bake chick b*****s in a conventional oven

    - sloppy joes instead of hamburgers

    - build your own sandwich trays (lunch meat, cheeses, tomatos, lettuce, onions & bread)

    - still have the old fashioned potato salad

    - pasta salad

    - fruit trays

    - pick up the party trays from sub way, el pollo loco, or any other fast food place that advertises party trays.

I would snag some of those creamsicles with the red, white and blue strips for desert.

Or you could take Strawberries (red), whipped cream (white), and blueberries (blue), slap them on some angel food cake and have yourself a homemade patriotic desert.

  3. Have a patriotic pinata for your party http://www.pinatas.com/Fourth_of_July_Pi...

  4. Just build an old fashioned bonfire out of sticks.  Find something to put some oven grates on and cook on that. (i live in the boonies and that's what we do.) Or put hot dogs or sausage on a stick and hold them over the fire.....don't forget to toast marshmallows! The small sandwich idea and other suggestion the person over me had were great.  Don't forget sparklers and the fun little poppy thing!
