At the end of all interviews they ask if you have any questions - what are some good ones? Do you think its ok to ask where I would be working from (aka where is my desk/office)?

  1. I think you should avoid giving any signs of being presumptuous. If you have health issues (not yet discussed in interview) you may want to ask about the company's health plan coverage.

Other than that, I WOULD NOT ask ANY questions regarding sick days, vacation days, or any other company BENEFITS; to me, THAT would seem too presumptuous (almost as if you're assuming you HAVE the job, but it could depend on how much vacation time you get).

Instead, I may ask the interviewer (if he/she has not already covered it) what are their long/short term expectations of me.

  2. you can ask a question along the lines of ...what are your overall expectations for the person who will fill this position? or you can inquire about the general information about the job position/company to show your interest

  3. I like to say who will I be reporting to and what is that person's management style?

If you want to have more fun though try these...

How many minutes late can I be before Im really late?

How many sick days do you get a year?

Is it really hard or do you think someone like me can do it?

So are there a lot of hot chicks here?

Do you guys do random drug testing?

What kind of criminal background checks do you guys run here?

  4. That depends on the job you are interviewing for.

Where your desk/office might sound a little superficial.

    I would ask:

Do you see the responsibilities for this position growing and in what direction?

Is there some flexibility so that I can not only utilize my current skills, but also have an opportunity to fill some of my current gaps?

Does the company provide any training courses so I can continue to upgrade my skills?

Stuff like that makes them believe that you are interested in your growth and how you can apply that to the organization.

  5. ask confidently- what should I have to learn before joining your company?

  6. When is my first raise?....how soon and how long can I take a vacation?....How many breaks to we get per hour?....Where is the employee bar?.....Who, here, do I talk to about scoring some Shiznit for the weekend?....Is your daughter hot?
