i can't sleep is there anything natural i can take or eat that'll help me sleep

  1. Try drinking a hot cup of chamomile tea before going to bed. Works for me :')

Melatonin pills are made from plants, but it is pretty much the same chemical the pineal gland produces to put you to sleep and keep you in healthy sleep.  warm milk, a banana, or chamomile also promote healthy sleep and help insomnia.  you can also talk to a homeopathic medicine specialist for recommendations, but a doctor could give you a few in a pinch.  as for the person recommending 5-HTP (Tryptophan), L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning the human body does not produce it naturally, but is required for the body's healthy functioning. L-Tryptophan is present in a wide range of foods including beans, nuts, milk, and poultry. L-Tryptophan is a precursor to 5-HTP (which is a precursor to serotonin) and is sold as a sleep aid and mood enhancer. L-Tryptophan was banned by the FDA in the 1990s because of contamination in the production process, but was re-released onto the U.S. market in 2001 after the FDA published a revised estimate of the risks.  all of these things are over the counter as well.  EDIT: Try Kava or Valerian root too.

  10. A magnisium supplement and calcium also about 250 mgs each... I take them each night and within 10 minutes of taking them... I am lulled off naturally to sleep..

  11. Australian Bush Flower Essences   Emergency Essence is quite good.  You can put 7 drops in a bottle of water up to 16 oz and shake and sip off and on for a half hour or so before bed and sleep better, keep the rest in case you wake during the night and sip a little on it then too.

    IF you mind is busy and will not stop to think or worry the ABFE Calm & Clear Essence is a better one to sip on then.

  12. 3 mg of Melatonin, which is already a substance in your body, take it 30 mins before sleep, and be sure to turn out the lights as it responds to light.
