What are good running times for a sixth grader?

What are good times for:

100 meter

200 meter

400 meter

800 meter

1600 meter

I'm trying to decide which events I should focus on. Thanks in advance!

  1. In 6th grade track you'll have to be especially good because you'll be running against 7th graders.

    the 7th grade qualifying times for the state track meet are:

    100m: 12.6 seconds

    200m: 26.8 seconds

    400m: 1:01 minutes

    800m: 2:28 minutes

    1600m: 5:28 minutes

    keep in mind these are super good times, and hardly anyone gets them. but they'll give you an idea of where the best people will be time-wise. if you can run a mile under 6 minutes i would suggest doing that event. for the short sprints, have a coach time you to see how you do. also try running with some of the fastest people on your team to push you to go faster. good luck!

    100m - 11.6

    200m - 23.00

    400m - 49.99

    800m - 2:00

    1600 - 4:43

    then again i am senior in high school. in 6th grade i think i ran a 6:30 mile, couldnt tell you about my other times though.

  3. I'm a 6th grade girl and my 100 meter is 14 point something. my

    400 meter is 1:22 (which sux :P) my 1600 meter is 6:49

    idk about the rest

  4. my 100 is 13.3 my 200 is 27.5. im in 5th grade

    200:26-28sec

    400:1:10 & below

    800: anything under 3:50mins would be good

    1600: ugh like around 6ish 4 a guy. u mite want to get a mid 5min though
