  1. Some options besides the others previously mentioned:  for an excellent undergrad program at a smaller school, Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA (probably one of the best places to learn field and lab techniques, especially for North American prehistory, from one of the most rigorous specialists in the world, Dr. Jim Adovasio.)

For general archaeology, cultural resource management and European and Middle Eastern, look at the University of Leicester in England (they have on-line distance learning from undergrad to PhD programs.)

  2. University of Chicago and Penn are top quality institutions.  I believe University of Missouri has a good department.  Minnesota is good too.  Wonderful and interesting subject area, I hope you check it out and dedicate yourself to the field.

  3. Harvard is the best

    at least in the US

  4. Univ of Chicago, Cambridge, NYU, the Ivy league schools

  5. Depends on what type of archaeology you want to do. At University of Missouri-Columbia, we have a decent archaeology program. University of New Mexico is great too.

  6. Indiana University(aboriginals)

    University of Pennsylvania(Middle East)

    University of Chicago(Egypt)

University of Victoria in British Columbia

    (aboriginals)

Universite de Paris(early man in Europe)
