okay so im a goalie and i now need to get new shin guards because of the new NOCSAE rule, but i dont know what ones to get. ive always had the ones with the ankle guards but ive come to realize that during tournaments theyre super annoying because i either just have to leave them on between games or take the time to take my socks and guards on and off. if i didnt have the ankle guard i could just slide them out. but then again because i play in goal my guards often come unvelcroed and my socks slide all the way down with i slide and dive and i dont want them to fall out. so i figure i need to at least have straps on them, and i dont know if i should still get ones with the ankle guards. so goalies, what guards do you use and how do you prevent them from falling out?

  1. Dustbin lids.

  2. Use slip ins, and just put medical tape below them.  That works the best for me.  and I'm also a Gk.  if that doesn't work get sleeves to go along with your tape.  if you don't want to use tape, get ones with ankle guards that detach from your actually shin guard.

  3. Get the ones that are in the socks, there is no way they can fall out. I play goalie too!

  4. I also play as Goalkeeper I use Ankle guard socks.Yes at first heir annoying but you'll get used to it.

  5. i have these really cool light weight ones but they aren't that hard... Under Armour® MPZ Shin Guard (NOCSAE)

http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.p...  the sleeves are very tight so the only thing that slips down for me is my sock. I read some review on them at www.soccer.com that helped me pick out if they were the ones that i wanted.
