  1. there is no cheap subs and amp that sound good unless you look on ebay or craigs list etc.

  2. when it comes to car audio nine times out of ten you get what you pay for- and you need to look for CEA-compliant brands which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine (highly recommend)

    Bazooka (don't like their subs)

    Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity (highly recommend)

    JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

    JVC

    Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

    MTX (highly recommend)

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio (highly recommend)

    PPI

    Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

    Sony (don't like their subs)

you want at least 400watts RMS if you are serious

here is a nice set of subs and a couple amps that would match up with them for about $400 and has 600watts RSM total

these subs http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3867... with this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8651... or this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5027...

  3. you need to look at subs with a high sensitivity rating and decent power handling.  it doesnt matter what type of car.  you can get alot of power and sound from power acoustic equipment    speakers and amps  2000 watts for like 350 dollars.  rms not  peak or pmmop power.   just get a big ported box and speakers that need a ported box.  youll be fine.

  4. kicker cvrs

    cheap

    pound

    sound good

louder deeper bass - ported box

tighter accurate bass - sealed box

    as for an amp

depending on how much you want to spend

    kicker or hifonics

i had a power acoustik amp powering my cvrs when i had them it sounded good but everyone told me the amp wasnt giving me the power it was supposed to

  5. check out some pawn shops. u can find some good deals on some high end equipment. Pioneer, kicker solo baric, rockford fosgate or any of the top brands. it all depends on how much thump you want. the rockford power series amps are very high end and can be found at good deals. there isnt a specific sub or amp that is compatible with your ride, its all preferance and whats right for you.

  6. Cheap isn't good to do because you always get what you pay for in the audio world. the cheapest subs that hit are audiobahns, but they don't work properly with the wrong amplifier. you can take a chance with a soundstorm, but they are cheaper, and may not last you as long. A system that will sound even decent will run you around $800. without installation. Any system is good in any car if it can fit. Get 2 12" subwoofers or a single 15" that really bumps. Good luck.
